PARK OF EUROPE
In 1989 Lithuania was declared geographical centre of Europe.
The 'Park of Europe' is Lithuania's unique open-air museum
of Contemporary Art. Covering 55 hectares, it is situated
only 20 minutes by car from Vilnius.
The permanent exhibition shows over 90 artworks from 27
European countries, among them notable works by Abakanowicz,
Oppenheim, and LeWitt. The stunning scenery with its harmonious
groves, meadows, and natural rivers adds to the artworks'
charms.
